Renton Historical Museum

The Renton Historical Society (RHS) has worked to preserve and share the history of Renton. Founded by local teachers and librarians, RHS began by organizing small exhibits in local libraries, bringing the city's history to the community.

In July 2025, RHS entered a new chapter, relocating its headquarters and artifacts from the museum building as it continued its mission of making Renton's history accessible to all. Today, the Society cares for a collection of more than 60,000 artifacts, including photographs, books, textiles, and machinery. Together, these objects tell the story of Renton's past, offering glimpses into the lives, experiences, and events that have shaped the community over time.
