Puget Sound Chemist, Vol I, No 1, October 1939

The Puget Sound Chemist is the bulletin of the Puget Sound Section of the American Chemical society. Since its beginning it served as a communication tool between members. Digitization of the older bulletins allows users to see a portion of the history of Chemistry in the Puget Sound region, find out what topics were important to members, find useful biographical information and more. Current issues of Puget Sound Chemist may be found at: http://pugetsound.sites.acs.org/pugetsoundchemist.htm

About the Database

This database was digitized by the students and staff of the UW Chemistry library and the UW Libraries Digital Initiatives. Images were scanned in greyscale and saved in TIFF format for preservation purposes and converted to JPEG for inclusion in this database. Some manipulation of the images was done to ensure the clearest possible digital images. The scanned images were linked with descriptive data using the ContentDM software. Partial funding was provided the Puget Sound Section of the American Chemical Society.
