DESCRIPTION:
Broomes, 1403 North 45th Street and 314 Broadway No. Illustrated, die-cut menu in the shape of a broom head. Motto on cover states "Sweep away your hungry feeling." Personal handwriting on the cover indicates "Stolen in April 1937," then describes "The new idea! --served food in automobile on trays hitched to windows!" Inside lots of small drawings of food items, broom people and wafting odors of delicious pancakes. "Broomburgers" and "Sweep-steaks" are featured, as are "Fresh X [eggs]." MEDIA TYPE: Menu
