Taqueria Rodriguez

Cipriano and Delia Rodriquez are the owners of Taqueria Rodriguez, a small restaurant in downtown Forks. The Rodriquez family has lived in Forks since 1993 after moving there from Modesto, California. Originally from Michoacan, Mexico, Cipriano and Delia have followed their dreams of owning and operating their own business. On their take-out menu they invite you to "Come and have a real taste of Mexico in the middle of the beautiful rain forest."

Javier Rodriguez

Javier photo on wall in Taqueria

Javier Rodriguez was born December 21, 1984. He graduated from high school in 2003 and went directly to the Marines starting boot camp in San Diego. He wanted to go to the Marines because he saw that he didn't want to work all his life in Forks as a "peon" as he would call it. He saw that the Marines would offer more opportunities for money and skills for a better job in the future. He wanted to see the world as well. He didn't want to go to college and the Marines seemed to be a good option for the opportunities that it offered.

Javier has loved art ever since he was a young boy. His mother says he was born with the skill of drawing. He wants to study design and law enforcement after he finishes with the Marines. Javier also adores his Honda del Sol and has it waiting for his return. His family is very important to him and he is able to talk to them at least once a week from Iraq. He went to Iraq on February 14, 2005 and returned on September 11, 2005. Javier sketch
