These photographs were taken to Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) standards as part of the Federal Energy and Regulatory Commission's re-licensing of the Skagit River Project, 1987-1989.

Gorge High Dam, a thin arch dam with a gravity section, was the third dam built in this location to provide water for the Gorge powerhouse. Completed in 1961.
