Gorge Inn Suspension Bridge was built in 1969 by Seattle City Light and connects Newhalem's town center to the National Park Visitor Center by trail.

Photographs for the Skagit River Hydroelectric Project nomination to the National Register of Historic Places were made for the National Park Service in 1989.
