PhotographerWatson, Dwight
Daten.d.
NotesCaption on image: Garibaldi Lake

Text: Part of the Cascade mountain chain is the Garibaldi Peak area north of Fraser River yet an evident part of the vast mountain system. Garbaldi Park is a large reservation in British Columbia abounding in rugged beauty, the center of which is Garibaldi Lake- peculiarly formed by a lava flow that damned a valley and surrounded the lake by walls so secure that it is six miles long and many hundreds of feet deep. Glacer streams nearly touch the shorelines at two spots, their morraines leaving terraced remnants of thier former action and greatness.
