On verso of image: House built and occupied by Hon. Columbia Lancaster, the first delegate to Congress from Washington Territory. Situated in Clark County near the mouth of the Lewis River. The old place now belongs to the family of Hon. A. A. Lindsley from whom I received this picture and over 90 volumes of old books formerly the property of Judge Lancaster. 1895 [signed] Edmond Meany
