Contextual NotesJay Johnston was the superintending architect throughout the construction of the Legislative Building. He was responsible for guiding on-site managers and monitoring field progress in the absence of chief project architects, including Walter R. Wilder (of Wilder & White, New York) and Charles H. Bebb (of Bebb & Gould, Seattle).
