Narada Falls is a 168-ft. waterfall, one of the Mount Rainier National Park's most impressive sights. It is on the south central slope of the mountain in the Paradise River, 15 miles by highway from Nisqually entrance of the park. On August 24, 1893, the falls were given this name by Arthur F. Knight of Tacoma, for the Narada branch of the Theosophical Society of Tacoma. This Hindu word has the means uncontaminated or pure. An alternate name was Cushman Falls.
