| Notes | The TAMPICO sank at the Pacific Coast Coal Company bunkers in Seattle at midnight, May 18, 1911, despite efforts of the fireboat SNOQUALMIE and the tug LUMBERMAN to keep her afloat. The vessel was raised June 25.

| Contextual Notes | In 1901 the Globe Navigation Co. purchased the Great Lakes freighter TAMPICO, along with the METEOR and EUREKA, for use between the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii.In 1907 it was purchased by the Pacific Coast Steamship Co. It sank at anchor, and was subsequently raised, in 1911. In 1917 the TAMPICO was sold to East Coast owners and dispatched to the Atlantic. (Source: Newell, Gordon, ed. "The H.W.
