DescriptionLate Roman-Early Byzantine fine ware dish/bowl base. Fine with no visible inclusions. Fragmentary base on high ring foot, outflaring, slipped on both sides. Three wide deep grooves on exterior of body. Slip well applied on interior. Stained all over. Compare with deep grooves on Cypriot red slip ware. Color of fresh fracture: 5YR 6/4 and 6/6. Exterior color: Mostly 2.5YR 3/2; 2.5YR 4/8 at places. Interior color: 2.5YR 4/8 to 3/2. Rim diameter (ext.): 13 cm. Found near North Churches (area F1 1997).
