| Contextual Notes | Loren Thrush (1921-2007) and Donna June Weldin Thrush (1923-2002) were married on June 9, 1942. Loren Thrush grew up and attended school in Sheridan, Wyoming, graduating high school in 1939. The couple met while he was working on the Fort Peck Dam at Glasgow, Montana. Shortly afterwards, Loren Thrush was called into the Army, attending Officer Candidate School and "island-hopping" in the South Pacific for 3 years, coming home in 1946. After the war, Loren Thrush attended Idaho College in Caldwell, Idaho, and began a thirty-year career in banking with the Small Business Administration throughout Alaska and the Northwest as an auditor. The Thrushes lived in Seattle for over 40 years, listed in the city directory as living on 34th Ave NW in the Crown Hill neighborhood of Seattle from 1960 until their deaths. |
