Historical NotesPhotographs taken during a goodwill visit of the Japanese cruisers Asama and Azuma to Seattle either in July of 1914 or at a later visit that took place in Seattle in 1919. These two ships were armoured cruisers of the Imperial Japanese Navy ordered to overseas shipyards after the first Sino-Japanese war.
