| Historical Notes | Paul Bunyan's birthday cake was mixed and baked by Van de Kamp's Holland Dutch Bakers in Seattle, and decorated by the Edison Technical School. It stood 23 feet high and weighed over 25,000 pounds, with a circumference of nearly 60 feet. The recipe consisted of 4,000 pounds of C & H sugar, 7,000 pounds of raisins, 1,500 dozen eggs, 2,200 pounds of pecans, 10,500 pounds of flour, and 100 pounds of salt. |
