Historical NotesAlthough many structures and attractions were demolished after the Seattle World's Fair, the geodesic dome of the Ford Pavilion managed to escape the wrecking ball. In late 1962, it was dismantled and relocated to the city of Edmonds, several miles north of Seattle, where it was reconstructed on the Edmonds waterfront. It served as a yacht showroom and sales center until 1970, when it was finally demolished and replaced by the 144 Railroad Avenue Building.
