| Notes | The Century 21 Exposition took place between April 21 and October 21, 1962 and is also known as the Seattle World's Fair.
"The Mexican Pavilion is on the north side of the International Plaza. Entry is from the terrace above the DuPen Fountain, or from the adjoining Canadian Pavilion. Its aim is to show the advancement of Mexico in social, economic and cultural fields. The exhibit portrays Mexico's desire to actively participate in the community of nations. In the various sections of the exhibit, the visitors see a people in the process of economic development. In the historical section, special attention has been given to the humanistic character of the Mexican people. The exhibit shows that the real measure of scientific progress in a country is the way in which such progress improves man, as an individual as much as a collective being." (Century 21 Exposition. (1962). Official Guide Book, Seattle World's Fair 1962. Seattle: Acme Publications. p. 76)
