Caption on image: Greetings from Seattle.
Handwritten text on image: Seattle, Washington. Jan. 3, 1901. The Public Library, shown on this card, was burned two nights ago. A great loss to all, although they are already talking of rebuilding, and with a better building, this one having been the home of one of Seattle's early pioneers.
