Quote: "Yesterday SDS seized the Women's Day Fashion Show for about an hour. Several members of SDS presented a brief skit showing the relationship of the fashion industry to the exploitation of garment workers and to the oppression of consumers.. What SDS was attempting to show through the disruption was that fashion shows and the fashion industry are simply not relevant to most people's lives... We have talked in the past about how women are channeled... In this society, our roles are defined by our sex, race, and class, not by individual personalities."
