George
Lincoln
Rockwell
is
credited
for
founding
the
National
Socialist
White
People's
Party
(NSWPP)
as a
successor
to his
own
American
Nazi
Party.
Matt
Koehl
took
control
of the
party
after
Rockwell's
assassination
in
1967
by
disgruntled
Nazi
John
Patler.
Under
Koehl's
leadership
, the
NSWPP
fragmented
and
eventually
dissolved
by
1984.
It
was
revived
in
1995
by
Harold
Covington
,
who
faced
legal
action
from the
"George
Lincoln
Rockwell
Foundation"
for
copyright
infringement
over
unauthorized
use
of the
name
NSWPP.
