NotesA notice to Chinese members of the Cannery Workers and Farm Laborers' Union, Local 18257 asking for their attendance in membership meetings. This notice details the union's purposes and motives: For closed shop in the salmon industry in Alaska and Columbia River; For farm workers - fighting against sweat shop wages and deplorable conditions; Vehemently for the elimination of contractors and labor agents; No discrimination against race, color, or former affiliations; The only official bargaining agent recognized and endorsed by the sister unions in the Maritime Federation of the Pacific. This notice also contains contact information for its Chinese Brothers in both Seattle and Portland, Oregon.
