| Title | Pierce County Triple Alliance committee report on meeting with Commissioner Pettit, ca. 1920 |
| Author | Dickson, A. L. Noral, Alex Mason, A. T. |
| Date of Publication | ca. 1920 |
| Notes | This report describes the visit of a committee representing the Pierce County Triple Alliance to Tacoma's Commissioner of Public Safety, F. H. Pettit, to inquire about why the Triple Alliance had been prevented from holding public meetings. The committee was composed of A. T. Mason, Dan McCarter, A. L. Dickson, and Alex Noral. Pettit stood by the order, and accused the Triple Alliance of acting as a cover for secret meetings of the Industrial Workers of the World (I.W.W.). Pettit threatens Dickson with being sent to the state penitentiary in Walla Walla, and informs Noral that there is a warrant out for his arrest. After a delay, it is determined that there is no warrant out on Noral, and the committee departs. The report is signed by each committee member except McCarter. |
