| Title | The Same Story: A Sellout, Seafood-AFL Propaganda, 1948 |
| Author | FTA-CIO, Local 7 |
| Date of Publication | 1948 |
| Notes | Flier accusing the rival Seafood-AFL union of selling out to the salmon industry by agreeing to a weaker contract. Local 7 asks its members not to be fooled by the Seafood-AFL and their misinformation. Local 7 states they are still in negotiation with the salmon industry and have turned down the same contract offered to the Seafood-AFL, and are asking for a wage increases and better working conditions.
Quote from document: "The same contract signed by the AFL leaders was also offered to Local 7, but our Negotiating Committee TURNED IT DOWN! THAT'S A UNION FOR YOU! The Salmon Industry and our Union are STILL NEGOTIATING! STICK TO YOUR UNION AND YOU WILL HAVE A GOOD CONTRACT FOR 1949!" |
| Contextual Notes | The Food, Tobacco, Agricultural and Allied Workers' Union of America (FTA) succeeds UCAPAWA. The union is now known as FTA-CIO Local 7.
