NotesResolution by organized labor against the HR 1, the Tax Reduction Act of 1947. This resolution, as interpreted by organized labor, and in concert with the Resolution against the Taft-Hartley Act, calls for tax exemptions for a family of four or more making $3500 a year or less, an increase in income taxes for upper bracket level earners, a return to paying taxes on profits made by corporations, plugging all tax loopholes to prevent the wealthy from not paying their fair share of taxes, and elimination of general sales tax.
