NotesThis resolution by the Cannery Workers and Farm Laborers Union Local 18257 follows the brutal murder of CWFLU organizers Virgil Duyungan and Aurelio Simon. The resolution describes covers the financial difficulties the union has encountered due to the loss of their leaders and the dire financial situation both families have incurred since the loss of each head of household. The resolution also solicits funds from other member affiliations to help the families of each slain leader while also requesting the endorsement of this resolution by the Washington District Council of the Maritime Federation.
