Shows the mouth of the Klondike River to the south (right). The large white Dawson Administration Building lies between Church St. and Turner St. St. Paul's Episcopal Church on Church St. and 1st Ave. is in front and to the left of the Administration Building. To the left of that is Harpers St.. The offices of the Northern Commercial Company, the North American Transportation & Trading Company, the White Pass & Yukon Route transportation company, and Boyle's Wharf are situated along the waterfront. The "Great Slide" is on the hills at the north end of the town, as is the "Dome", a 1500 foot knoll above the river's level. |
