Taken from the vicinity of the Chicago, Milwaukee and Puget Sound Railway Co. slip at S. Forest St. From left to right: Looking southwest and west showing the east waterway of the Duwamish River, the Spokane St. Bridge, Youngstown and West Seattle. The Fisher Flouring Mills Co. can be seen on the west waterwaywith J.F. Duthie Shipyard at 3262 Kitsap in the foreground. Magonolia and Queen Anne can be seen in the center right background (looking northwest). To the right looking north can be seen the East Waterway as it enters Elliott Bay. To the far right the camera angle changes and looking to the northeast can be seen Beacon Hill in the background, Port of Seattle grain elevators and the Sears and Roebuck & Co. building at the right.
