| Contextual Notes | Valley on Gold Creek, north of Icy Gulch, 1.5 miles north of the Gastineau Peak and 2.4 miles northeast of Juneau. Named by Richard Harris in 1880 for the Silver Bow Mine in Montana. This basin was the site of the earliest gold discoveries in the Juneau area.
