Que sous les lambris d'or du plus somptueux Louvre. (Than he does under the gilded panelling of the more sumptious Louvre.)

| Historical Notes | Not a caricature, this etching is part of the official Napoleonic propaganda. Drawn after the Battle of Austerlitz, generally considered Napoleon's greatest victory, it shows him in his encampment planning the strategy that would crush the combined armies of Russia and Austria.
