Site locationApprox 10 miles from crater
NotesSlide shows some trees that were left standing because they were behind a very large rock boulder which is to the right of the slide where you can barely see it. The shock wave came from the right and was deflected up in the air by the large rock and went over those trees, so they are still standing. As you go further away, the shock wave came back to the ground and started knocking the trees flat again. The trees were protected by that pile of rock, but they all died from the high temperature gasses. They had branches on them and looked like they were ok.
