Sulfur and white deposits on rock
Sulfur and white deposits on rock
TitleSulfur and white deposits on rock
PhotographerZoller, William
PublisherUniversity of Washington. Dept. of Chemistry
Date of photograph1981
Site locationInside of crater
NotesSlide shows a rock with deposits on it. The sulfur was deposited on top of a white salt which was deposited earlier on the rock, and so we sampled both the sulfur off of that as well as the white material below it. The white material was probably a mixture of carbonate deposits where the elemental sulfur was deposited right on top of that.
