NotesSlide shows the water that is in some of the lakes and reservoirs right near Mount St. Helens. The water itself is murky white, almost like milk, since it is filled with very finely divided ash or powdered ash and that material is suspended in water. It would obviously get on the gills of any fish and suffocate them.
