Notes
Filter
packs
that were
placed
inside
an
aluminum
container
inside
the
aircraft
were
used
to
collect
particles
on the
first
filter
and the
four
after
that were
used
to
collect
acidic
gases
such
as
SO2
[7446-09-5]
,
HCl
[7647-01-0].
They were
collected
on
Lithium
hydroxide
[1310-65-2]
impregnated
filters.
That
sampling
canister
contained
a
particle
filter
first
which
was a
Teflon
filter
followed
by
four
treated
filters
to
collect
acidic
gases
using
Lithium
hydroxide
[1310-65-2].
The
Lithium
hydroxide
was
Lithium-7
hydroxide
[72255-97-1].
(Li7OH)
isotopically
separated
lithium
,
so
that
we
could
use
these
same
filters
in the
reactor
for
neutron
activation.
It
was a
unique
sampling
system
used
for
neutron
activation.
