TitleHelicopter view of dome showing area of intense gaseous emissions
PhotographerZoller, William
PublisherUniversity of Washington. Dept. of Chemistry
Date of photograph1981
Site locationAerial view of dome
NotesSlide shows view of a helicopter looking down at the dome showing the gaseous emissions coming out. A blue haze is quite evident which means that there are very fine aerosols and particles coming out which tell us that there are a lot of high temperature vents up in there to do our sampling. We selected some high temperature vents, but down lower instead of right on top for safety.
