PublisherUniversity of Washington. Dept. of Chemistry
Date of photograph1981
Site locationInside crater
NotesBill Rose from Michigan Technical University, is looking at the yellow material on the rock. We did sample it, and I believe that this was almost entirely sulfur occurring at this stage of the game, not the other water soluble yellow materials. We were again looking at rocks because we had nothing to do for three hours and we were stuck in the crater, wandering around looking at everything.
