| Notes | Slide shows an assembled filter cassette that we used on the aircraft for the sampling, and the components that were made together. There is the outside ring, the back ring that would hold it in, and then in between the middle part is the porous plate that the filter would sit on top of. The porous plate was made out of polyethylene. The porous plate had many holes drilled through so that the air could be pulled through. But then the filter would be put on the porous plate. Then we would have the top section, which is a cassette ring over that, and then the bottom ring would be at the back and that could be snapped together to make the assembled cassette, which is shown on the left. |
