NotesInterior of the NASA P3 that we were using to analyze the chemistry of the emissions. Dick Stoiber is in the yellow jacket, and Jim Friend is behind him. Two graduate students are also in this picture. The equipment onboard the aircraft was a cospect spectrometer measuring Sulfur dioxide [7446-09-5] (by ultraviolet absorption). Various particle collection and measuring devices were also on board the aircraft so that the data from those could be compared to the Sulfur dioxide [7446-09-5] measured from the cospect.
