NotesAdvertising on sled reads:"Kinsey and Kinsey photographers. Nome & Grand Forks". The man driving the sled is probably Clarence Kinsey, one of the brothers forming the partnership of Kinsey and Kinsey.

The Kinseys headed for Nome when word of gold spread, but became unhappy with the town's hectic pace and returned to Grand Forks. (Norman Bolotin, A Klondike Scrapbook)
