[Meed journal: "White Horse Rapids, Yukon River. So named by the discoverer who when viewing the spray-tipped waves, imagined a resemblance to the manes of a group of white horses. They are a continuation of the watercourse just below Miles Canyon. The man watching from the bank is probably studying the situation there for guidance when making his own trip."].
