[Meed journal: "Taken near Skagway, Spring 1898. A team of Angora goats, harnessed to a loaded sled, The owners idea was probably that after serving as draught animals, they could become available as meat and their long-hair hides be used as winter clothing or robes. This was the only known case of this kind and dogs and horses proved to be the only animals useful in the Klondike."].
