NotesOne fisherman sits on a seat suspended over the water from a rope. Another sits at the end of a pier built out over the water. Several other men stand on the shore or at the beginning of the pier. All the men wear Western style clothing.

The tribe of the fishermen is not known for certain but may be Umatilla. The photo was taken in 1956 or 1957 before the Dalles Dam was built.
