NotesEleven men from Princeton University and University of Chicago are seen studying the Grand Coulee Region in the area of Adrian, west of Soap Lake. Dr. Harlen Bretz, of University of Chicago, brought a student group from Princeton and the Uchicago to study Grand Coulee. These studies over many years led to the "Bretz Flood" explanation of the Columbia River and Channeled Scablands.
