| Notes | The steam boilers which supplied heat and power to the school buildings required a constant supply of wood. As part of their regular work assignment, the young men chopped, split, and stacked hundreds of cords of wood. Shown in this photo are Sebastian Williams (second from left), Woody Loughrey (fifth from left) and Clarence Shelton (third from right).

Photographer Ferd Brady had a studio in Marysville, Washington from 1907 to 1910, then moved to Everett, and finally settled in Anacortes in the 1920s. In the 1910s, he had a government contract to photograph the people and activities at the Tulalip Indian School, near Marysville. Brady closed his Everett studio in 1952 and died in 1967.
