Notes from unidentified source: Arrival of Indians for hop-picking. A large part of the harvesting labor was by the Indians of the Sound, and British Columbia coast. These Indians came in great canoe brigades and camped on the waterfront. This Indian camp was on the Seattle waterfront below Vine, Cedar and Broad streets. This is now the location of the Bell Street Terminals of Port of Seattle.
