| Notes | Group of men women & children pose in front of the falls, wearing fringed and beaded clothing. Several of the men and boys wear feather headdresses, and the women wear beaded headbands. Taken before the Falls were inundated by the Dalles Dam in 1957.

Virginia Beavert a Yakama elder, kindly provided the following identifications: the men on the right are, from right to left, Henry Thompson, to his left Tommy Thompson, main chief at Celilo. To the left of Tommy Thompson was his first wife. The woman holding the child on the far left is Mrs. Henry Thompson. The woman to the right of her, was from White Swan, but her name is unknown. |
