Log
Cabin.
Pioneers
built
their
homes
with
logs
and
lived
in them
many
years
and
when
saw
mills
came
in
built
some
wonderful
homes
with the
lumber.
This
is
the
Lindsley
cabin
not
far
northeast
of
Licton
Springs
and was
built
a
little
north
and
west
of the
present
Northgate
Center.

Old
log
cabin
on
Father
and
Mother's
Homestead
in a
clearing
in a
dense
fir
forest.
Big
fir
tress
on the
point.
There
must
have been a
lake
here at
one
time.
Smooth
and
glassy
where
the
big
firs
were
reflected
on its
mirror
lake
seer
face
and
where
deer
came
to its
shores
to
drink
and the
ruffed
grouse
[illeg.]
to his
mate
in the
cool
depths
of the
trees.
Go
on and on this
is
only
an
opening.
