Handwritten on negative jacket: October 1899. Old Gold Creek Series. Grandpa Denny and Uncle Will [?] at mouth of B. Tunnel, Esther Mine. This is the last photo taken of Grandpa Dennny and was his last trip to the mine. He came in from the work he was supervising of the repair on old Snoqualmie Road. It was late in the fall just before we closed down for the [incomplete, probably "winter"].
