NotesCedar River pipeline No. 1 under construction, hauling pipe uphill east of Renton. Seattle's water system was the first municipally owned utility. Development of the watershed had a profound impact on King County, damming rivers, creating lakes, and "taking" more than 90, 000 acres of land for the watershed.
