| Notes | Built in 1911 as the terminus of the Northern Pacific Railroad, Union Station is one of downtown Tacoma's shining jewels. The Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific, the Great Northern, and the Union Pacific Railroad joined Northern Pacific to help build the station. A magnificent example of the Beaux Arts style of architecture, the structure served train passengers into the 1980s. |
