NotesThe Minidoka Relocation Center was one of the wartime internment camps established for people of Japanese descent, as a result of Executive Order 9066. Minidoka, located in south central Idaho, occupied a 33, 000-acre site, included more than 600 buildings and housed approximately 13, 000 internees from Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. It was in operation from August 1942 until October 1945.
